Emergency and Evacuation Procedures
It is our policy to ensure a rapid response to emergencies where an evacuation
and/or protection of people may be required. We have an Emergency
Evacuation Plan that we practice with the children at least every 10 weeks with
the aim of ensuring the children can be evacuated quickly and easily in the
event of a real emergency.
Our Emergency Evacuation Plan displays the following:
-
Emergency exits from the building;
-
Assembly point outside the building;
-
Emergency Numbers
We ask that you make yourself aware of the evacuation plan which is displayed in
your child’s classroom at all exits within the building. If the fire alarm activates
while you are at this service, please move to the evacuation points as
directed by staff.
If when you approach the building you hear the alarm going, please do not enter
the building until told it is safe to do so by a staff member or Fire officer.
