Important Policies and Procedures

Keeping Children Safe upon Arrival and Departure

 

In the interests of health and safety, upon arrival and on departure, please ensure:

 

  • You DO NOT park in the ‘Bus Zone’. This is for school and childcare buses ONLY!

  • You DO NOT park in the car parks of the neighbouring Goodna Community Childcare Centre or Telstra facility.  Children are still learning about traffic safety so please be conscious of children’s safety when parking and crossing the road.  DO NOT park on the footpath. This is for pedestrian use ONLY.

  • Your child is supervised until the door opens and the session begins.  DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNSUPERVISED!  Children must be bought into the classroom by a responsible adult known to staff.

  • Children walk down the cement path.

  • Children (including siblings) DO NOT play in the gardens, climb the fences, safety gates, or trees.  

  • All campus gates are closed securely after opening.  To ensure smooth and safe operation of all fences and gates, children are not permitted to climb, swing, stand or ride on fences or gates.

  • Children must be signed-in and signed-out of the program each day by a responsible adult.

  • Children are collected promptly at the conclusion of the program each day at 2.15pm.

  • If you are unable to collect your child, please contact us as soon as possible to provide the name of the person authorised to collect your child

  • Only parents/guardians and authorised emergency contacts (as nominated on your child’s enrolment form or otherwise) will be permitted to collect your child from our service.  No child, under any circumstance will be released into the care of an unauthorised person. Photo identification will be required from any authorised emergency contact unknown to staff.  

  • In accordance with legislation, there is NO SMOKING permitted on campus grounds or within 20m of the entrance gate to the campus.

  • NO Dogs or unauthorised animals permitted on campus grounds at any time
