Food - Morning tea and lunches

A healthy morning tea will be required every day.  We encourage good health and nutrition with staff modelling this. We would prefer the children to bring food such as: a piece of fresh fruit, dried fruit such as sultanas and apricots, muesli bars, popcorn, cheese snacks, yoghurt etc.  We prefer that food such as chips, chocolate and lollies are left at home.  A sandwich and a bottle of water (no soft drink/no cordial please) will be required each day.  As independence is encouraged in all aspects of your child’s day, please pack his/her lunch in a manageable way.

To ensure the health and safety of all who visit our program, we enforce a ‘NO NUT’ policy.  Please note that nuts and nut products are not permitted at this service.

Tins and Glass: Please do not send food sealed in tins (eg. Spaghetti, Tuna)

to this service. The lids on these tins are sharp and are a safety concern.

Please do not send food in glass jars or bottles. These too pose a safety

concern with possible breakage. Please send the contents of tins/glass

in a small plastic container along with a spoon/fork in your child’s lunchbox.
